It's not just about spinning a disc. Or making sure it hits some number of lines...

• How good is the player overall, for YOUR needs?
  
• Is it a good CD player, too?
• How good is the picture quality with regard to color temperature, contrast, brightness, and adjustability for these?
• It may give you a good picture, but how does it SOUND? Remember that your DVD player is the SOURCE of the signal path in your theater. THE BEST ANY COMPONENT CAN DO IS TO REPRODUCE WHAT IT'S GIVEN. HOW GOOD A JOB IS THE PLAYER DOING?
• How easily adjustable is it with regard to matching with your TV/Monitor's specifications for playback of the discs? Are images in proper perspective, or are they stretched in one direction or another?
• How adjustable is the player with regard to which international region the disc is from?
