Koetsu Onyx Platinum Phono Cartridge

World Class performance.  Timbrally rich, bass to die for, for music lovers only.  The Onyx Platinum is among the finest phono cartridges ever built at any price, and is once again available to us through the sons of cartridge master Sugano-son.  I've had several loyal Koetsu owners grace my shop over the years, and they all feel the same way.  The last Koetsu client I met had his for ten years, and was sending it back for refurbishing!  Buy this cartridge and you're likely DONE.

The Onyx has an output of 0.2mV, so it'll need a phono stage with some quiet gain, and weighs in at a relatively light 12.4g, so it's a good choice for tonearms that need a bit lighter cartridge. The Onyx is said to be a bit more neutral than the other stone-body cartridges, too, so if that's your preference, there's one more reason to call me about an Onyx Platinum!
