Koetsu Urushi Black "Tsugaru" Phono Cartridge

World Class performance.  Timbrally rich, bass to die for, for music lovers only.  The Urushi Tsugaru has been my personal cartridge for the last eight years or so, and I don't anticipate trading it any time soon, unless I end up switching to the new Wajima, which seems a bit cleaner to my ears and in my system.  This is my FAVORITE BRAND OF CARTRIDGES., and  I've had several loyal Koetsu owners grace my shop over the years,  all of whom feel the same way.  The last new Koetsu client I met had his for more than ten years, and was sending it back for refurbishing!

The Tsugaru seems a bit smoother than the new Sky Blue and Gold "Wajima" versions, and is the traditional "Koestu sound" as I'm hearing it.  I love the sound of this cartridge.
