I know, many of you say "what's the difference, Brian?" The difference is enjoyment or not having enjoyment. I know it sounds crazy, but once you have implemented good interconnects and good speaker cables in your system, and understand the nature of information transfer in your music or theater system, you'll be ready for a pretty obvious improvement with a quality line conditioner. Even a good basic power strip like a Noisetrapper by Cable Pro at $240. can make a substantial improvement -- not in what it's doing, but in what it's NOT DOING -- that is, NOT current limiting, and not slurring the critical timing relationship between voltage and current (power factor).

There's been LOTS of misinformation, disinformation, and typical market hype around this product category. Bottom line - if it's not sufficiently obvious to justify the expense, it's not worth spending your hard-earned dollars on it. Of course, this is the way I feel about ALL audio/music/theater-related expenditures, but this one's especially so. REMEMBER THAT when you're dealing with ANY audio retailer.
