Small, powerful, and MUSICAL.  The largest of the R-series subwoofers from the undeniable King of Musical Subwoofers, the R-505 is not for the faint of heart, nor is it for the ego-driven.  The R-505 is not some gut-wrenching earthshaker. Unless that's what you want.  It's not for the maniacal bass freak.   Unless that's what you want.  Mostly it's for those of us who want that bottom octave that our speakers can't give us, because we want it ALL.  We want that foundational bass energy that locks in a soundstage, and adds body to EVERY aspect of the listening experience....suddenly a violin has a cavity in it; voices have a CHEST as well as a throat; there's meat on every 'bone solo.  The REL R-505 makes music more FUN, and it does so with STYLE.

Powerful Class D amplifiers are as energy efficient as they are efficient at loading your room with massive, controlled SPLs effortlessly and musically.  These are GREAT subwoofers for those of us who want to fill LARGE spaces with GREAT sub-woofer (as in BELOW THE WOOFERS of our speakers) energy.
