The playback of vinyl has to be the most challenging of all playback media, insofar as "how far can it go?" goes....We've been at it over 100 years, and we're still far from finished with this medium that continues to captivate millions of listeners.  It's all about picking up those tiny vibrations in that delicate, undulating groove wall, and turning them into sound. It's also all about making sure that ANY other vibrations that are NOT the diamond in the groove ARE ELIMINATED so that ALL YOU'RE LEFT WITH IS THE MUSIC.  Lots of manufacturers have their ideas about how it should be done.  I believe the ones we show here at SMA represent the best values at their respective price points, and from manufacturers I know I can count on.  Some are not the most well-known, but all are capable of delivering a sonic result I know you'll enjoy, and that I know will sound as good or better than some of the more well-known brands out there that play the payola and politics game really well.  Lots of great press out there, but only a handful of those guys really and truly DELIVER THE GOODS both build-wise, and sonically, as well as providing the SUPPORT you need to really get the most out of your analog.
